BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY) Drops Twitter Update Owing To User Complains

Post image for BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY) Drops Twitter Update Owing To User ComplainsBlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) reflected on another disappointment when it terminated the latest update to the Twitter app for BlackBerry 10. The struggling Canadian handset maker is in a fix to turnaround the company, and has been delivering row of bad news from quite some time now.
Users complains, the reason for dropping the update
“Twitter version 10.2.2 has been removed from BlackBerry World due to user reported issues,” the company said in a blog post. “We are actively investigating and will provide an update here when Twitter 10.2.2 has been reposted.”
Recently in December, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) launched the Version 10.2.2 of the Twitter app including various new features, like BBM connectivity, timeline photo previews, and better search and reply functions. However, the company has decided to withdraw the update following the user complaining about the loading issues and crashes, according to the blog site Mobile Syrup.
The Canadian company has asked the users to roll back to the earlier version 10.2.1 following the various instructions and step by step suggestions.
Drops Two new phones and live conference
It is not just the apps and upgraded versions that the company is pulling down. Recently, the beleaguered smart phone maker cancelled two new phones even before their launch following the below par sales and scrawny financial numbers. According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the company decided upon cancelling the launch of two new devices to avoid the inventory risk.
The two cancelled phones were dubbed as Cafe and Kofi, which were apparently the low cost devices, according to the Wall Street journal citing a source. BlackBerry also cancelled its annual BlackBerry live conference following the weak financial results reporting a third quarter loss of $4.4 billion.  In the third quarter, the company recorded sales of 1.9 million smart phones, which is less than 3.7 million in the previous quarter.
The firm wished to host various small conferences instead of BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) Live main conference. Apparently, the events would be more customized according to the people who will be present there to give more importance to particular business, developer and partner audience.

When you buy a new console, like the Nintendo 3DS, chances are the last thing you would expect is to find porn on it. Unfortunately this happens more often than we would like as back in 2012, a similar case happened at GameStop, but this year it looks like the blame has fallen onto Wal-Mart. Tom Mayhew had gone to Wal-Mart and purchased a Nintendo 3DS handheld console system for his 8-year old son who decided to play around with the console’s camera and took photos of himself and his siblings. However when he went into the gallery, instead of finding photos of himself, he instead found pornographic material. According to Mayhew, “It was a shocker because we had family here, and there were a lot of kids here. The kids were the ones that discovered those pictures. There is no reason for them to be even really on there,” he added. “It’s disgusting for one. It seems that this was the only thing left on it.” The time stamp on the images showed it uploaded/taken in early December, while the console was purchased on the 23rd of December, meaning that the unit they had gotten was a returned product that someone had forgotten to wipe prior to returning it. Unfortunately Wal-Mart has yet to respond to this issue although we expect that the right thing to do is to offer a refund and maybe even gift a free and brand new console as a token of their apology, assuming they were at fault to begin with.: http://www.ubergizmo.com/2013/12/porn-found-on-supposedly-new-nintendo-3ds-bought-from-wal-mart/
